Before you hit the road ways of Louisiana, you must complete the state prelicensing requirements. Founded in January 2000 by owners Ron and Cathy Hernandez, R & C Driving School and its qualified and certified staff are ready to meet all of your driver training needs. When you come to our classes, you'll be treated like family. We offer 14 hour, 38 hour, DWI classes and National Safety Council Defensive Driving Course .

14 Hour Course

Effective August 1, 2012, the new law requires that applicants 18 years and older take 8 hours of behind-the-wheel driving instruction, in addition to the 6 hours of classroom instruction. The 6 hours of classroom instruction portion of the class is held every month. Drinks and snacks will be avaliable for .50..

Effective August 1, 2012, the new law requires that applicants 18 years and older take 8 hours of behind-the-wheel driving instruction, in addition to the 6 hours of classroom instruction. The 6 hours of classroom instruction portion of the class is held every month. Drinks and snacks will be avaliable for .50 - .75, so bring some extra cash.
38 Hour Course $380

This involves 30 hours of instruction class time and 8 hours behind the wheel driving time. Student must be 14 years and 9 months or older for this course. This class is held every month. The 30 hours is split into 4 days of class time and classes start at 8 am.
Defensive Driving $50

We offer the National Safety Council’s Defensive Driving Course, DDC-4. Call for details.
