If I could give them negative stars I would. Students are required to schedule seven drives through Rhode’s online scheduling website. Unfortunately, my experience over the last five weeks with this company has been nothing short of a nightmare. After signing up and waiting for the office to “approve” my account, I finally logged in to schedule my daughter’s first drive, only to find nothing available. I was told to check the site every day until something opened up. A week later, I learned the first drive couldn’t even be booked online and had to be scheduled manually. That would’ve been helpful to know upfront. After her first lesson, I was told by Celeste to check back that Friday to book the next drive. Again, wrong. No openings, no clickable links. Then I was told drives must be 28 days apart, another key detail never mentioned before. Even after waiting the full 28 days, there was still no availability. My husband called on a Tuesday and was told the schedule would open at 3 PM Wednesday. I checked first thing Thursday morning, still nothing. When I called again, Celeste told me I needed to log in three times a day for several days each week just to catch a spot before it filled up. She said the system generates sessions randomly, there’s no rhyme or reason to it, and there’s nothing the office can do. When I spoke to a so-called “manager” Meghan, she repeated the same excuses. When I voiced my frustration about being given conflicting information and an inefficient system to work with, she accused me of not understanding their process, used inappropriate and insulting language, spoke over me and refused to have any accountability. I ended the call as it wasn't going anywhere only for her to call back and leave a voicemail informing me that she canceled my daughter’s upcoming drive and contract entirely, ultimately not fulfilling their end of the agreement. My daughter also reported the vehicle she drove in with an instructor was falling apart, having to use the high beams the entire drive since the low beams were out, talking the entire drive and not paying attention to the students in the vehicle. This is, without question, the most unprofessional, incompetent, disorganized, and disrespectful company I’ve ever dealt with. They refuse to hold themselves accountable for any wrong doing and treat paying customers like garbage. I highly recommend this school from first time contacting them to setting everything up and all the way through to graduation was professional timely and honestly I can't imagine a better experience. What a mess, never have I met anyone so mean. The owners will suck every bit of money they can from you, paying for your driving test, every missed appointment, and it's not cheap either. I could've learned the same amount form my dad and not had to pay 500 because he will talk almost nothing about driving, and more so on personal stories about his deployment, how he went to jail, and all of his brothers and sisters who are in jail and abusing drugs, I may not know some things about driving, but thank God I know how many people died on Jose's deployment (0). which idk how that relates to driving. The owner must be very insecure because he will constantly insult people, be very rude on the phone, threaten you, and told us in-class how he would beat up any of our dads. He also almost fist fought a student because the kid said something, and he had to be held back by his wife. They are also very bad about responding and it will take 15 voicemails, 80 texts, and then maybe they will respond to you. They are also very bad about scheduling drive times and it takes multiple months to get them done. They know what they're doing. They taught me valuable knowledge on how to be a good, and safe, driver. All of the instructors are patient. nice, and very experienced.They also explained how I got my learner's license and how I would get my driver's license. The other lady just had some bad luck. They are very clear about when enrollment ends and will help you extend your enrollment if you end up having stuff happen. Very good school. Read More

Communication hasn’t been great. I was told I was placed on the schedule for a service, but when I called to confirm, I was told I wasn’t on it. The office staff often give different information, and when I called, I was usually told someone would call back to confirm final details — but no one ever did. Sabina was helpful, but there seems to be a disconnect within the team. These issues may cause us to miss our DMV appointment. Do not waste your hard earned money on this place. This place is a SCAM. They take your money and your are lucky if you get any of your services. They ghost you after they take your money. They give you every excuse in the book after your check or money clears. Go to the Point Driving School, better customer service, great instructors and you will have your license in no time. Such a great school to get your CDL license, Jim the class instructor walks you through the process, so you have a good understanding on accomplishing getting your cdl. I also want to say the Meriden instructors Jhon, Jason & good ole Bob. dose a great job with hands on & making it clear on what needs to be done in the correct professional way. As a parent of a student at Lenoir High school,in LaGrange NC,, I, was deeply disappointed, at JDS driving school, the lack of teaching. students, about roads signs ,speed limits ,and the lack of days of classroom instructions. Two days classroom is not the required amount of days, to teach students all they need to know.You are settinh our children up ,to go out a kill themselve with the lack of teaching you are providing .Sure it is all about money for you, so do a proper job with our children .Before the law suits come your way.
