Frequently Asked Questions

What is Driving-Schools.com and how does it work?

We launched Driving-Schools.com in 2020 with a singular goal: to provide the most comprehensive list of driving schools in the United States. Driving-Schools.com isn't just a website, it's a platform that helps literally anyone that fits their specific needs. We also help driving schools showcase themselves and present their offers in the best possible way.

How complete is your list of U.S. driving schools?

We're confident that our list of the 10,000+ known driving schools in the United States is the most complete resource available. Our staff also continuously works to update the list as schools open, close, or change ownership.

If we've missed a school, let us know and we'll add it to the list. If you are a school owner, then you can register your school for free.

How to register own school?

It's fast and easy. Just click the "Register School" button that's on the top left of every page. You can then either claim and update an existing listing, or you can add a new school to the database.

When entering details about your school, more is better. Providing information about its instructors and available packages will help you appear higher in our search listings. Basically, a more complete listing leads to higher visibility, which means more students for your school.

Do driving school owners have to pay to register their school?

No, it is 100% free to list your school on Driving-Schools.com. List as much detail as you want, there will never be any extra cost and it will help drive students to your school.

Do I have to pay a fee to find a driving school?

No! Searching for schools is always free. There are no hidden fees or memberships or anything like that. We created Driving-Schools.com to be a free service that helps people , so they can get on the road as quickly and safely as possible.

How can I contact Driving-Schools.com?

Want to learn more about the benefits of partnering with us? Or have a general question or suggestion? Simply click on our Support Link and we'll get back to you right away.

How do I leave a review for a driving school?

We'd love to hear about your driving school experiences. To leave a review for one, simply search for the driving school on the home page. Click on the associated listing and then scroll down to the bottom of the page to find the review section.

Please be as descriptive as possible about your experience with the school, including its packages and instructors. You'll be helping future drivers by giving them a first-hand insight on what to expect from a particular school.

Thanks to Mr Dale for his patience and knowledge, giving me clear instructions, and consistent encouragement. I passed my driving test in the first try with confidence. Dale was so professional and made my lesson feel calm and focused on improvement, which helped me feel at ease behind the wheel. I will highly recommend Ken’s driving school for all your driving lessons needs.

My daughter had an awful experience with this company/driving instructor. The driving instructor, Ann, made multiple comments to my daughter that were incredibly demeaning while she was learning to drive, which heightened my daughter‘s anxiety that she already had as a new driver. Ann made hurtful and condescending comments to the other female students while out driving. My daughter specifically noted that Ann was very accommodating and overly complementary of any male student drivers. She is not a good teacher; she is punitive rather than encouraging and supportive. Ann was incredibly inflexible with any requests I made, such as meeting at my home on only one occasion, which was initially the plan for the entire summer, requiring I drive over 10 miles each way back-and-forth to school, while other students got dropped off and picked up at their homes, and then expected me to change my plans for my daughter’s lesson at a moment’s notice for her convenience. I can’t even begin to tell you what a disturbing experience this has been. This schooling is a waste, and it’s not worth the “convenience“ of them working with the Pulaski school district, because of the reasons listed above, and also because drive times during the school year are extremely limited. Honestly, this driver instructor is such a bully. She should not have the opportunity to harm any more children.

I am one of many to have had a horrible experience with Advanced Driving School. Back in 2020-2021 I started private lessons with Nancy in preparation for the test. Everything went great and I believed I was making progress until my instructor was switched to Crystal. She spent more time on her cellphone during lessons, intentionally grabbing the steering wheel because she was concerned about potholes rather than teaching me how to drive in traffic and berating and cursing at me through text when my phone suddenly shutdown and I was unable to contact anyone. I was abrassively given the option of a full refund for the drivers test or to follow through with a rescheduled test day. I took the option to take another test date but was given no availability for extra lessons. The day of the test I had to order a ride to the Advanced Driving School instead of being picked up which was the original agreement, then we headed to the RMV. I unfortunately hit the curb on the right side of the vehicle, and forgot to use my turn signals resulting in failing the test. I was not shown any damages to the vehicle nor was I given the opportunity to discuss compensation if it was severely. Crystal told me to get out of the car, exclaimed she did not trust me and she had a client to get to. Leaving me stranded at the RMV I had to pay for a ride back. Once I returned home I received another text message from Crystal making excuses for her unhinged and unprofessional behavior, accusing me of driving recklessly and giving me a backhanded "Good luck" I believe I have wasted hundreds of dollars to this school only to be set up for failure and publicly humiliated. I would not encourage anyone to hire this family business knowing that they take zero accountability for their behavior and will comment back in reviews defending their actions and even demeaning their clients and the experience they had.

“I am so grateful we found Drive 4 Success!!! This was such a useful tool for our son to get his driver's license. Mr. Orr was his instructor, and an awesome one at that. He was able to teach my son all the skills and boosted his confidence immensely. Six lessons later my son obtained his license on his first try! If you are thinking of using this school, I would not hesitate, Drive 4 Success is a lifesaver!!!”

Excellent School, knowledgable instructors and friendly front end staff. They focus on the road test and are willing to work on any driving related skills you need. Plenty of equipment, manual and automatic trucks, school bus, etc... They offer hazmat endorsement training as well.

I had Mrs. Tracy and I learned how to be a safe driver. One thing I learned was to drive with an adult in my early stages to be able to get better at driving. Another thing I learned was defensive driving which is the act of ensuring myself and my passengers safety over going somewhere fast even if I have the right of way I will stop a bit to make sure no one else goes before me during an intersection. A third way to be safe I learned was to if you’re unsure about a situation slow down and access it before processing with caution while using the smith system, zone control system, and the IPDE process to continue. A fourth thing I learned was what to do in adverse conditions like in rain and fog turn on low beam headlights and not high beam as well as in snow follow the tracks of the car before to increase traction on the snow. A fifth thing I learned was what to do in emergency situations like when your gas pedal sticks you should hit the side of it also to bat to do if your car over heats you should turn on the heater not the ac and drive to side of the road and keep the heater and open the hood of the car to release the stored heat from the engine . Another emergency situations I learned to deal with while on the road was skidding where you want to ease off the pedal and do not brake as that just makes it worse then you should steer in the direction the car is skidding when you feel control again turn it back to normal and that stops skidding but the most important thing is not freaking out when it happens or else you could hurt yourself and your passengers.these were just a few of the ways to be a safe driver on the road I learned while at class. It was a great class would recommend to anyone who needs to go through driver’s education.

Fantastic experience! The instructors were patient, professional, and made my son feel confident and safe behind the wheel. They go beyond teaching the test — focusing on real-world driving skills. They even helped calm his anxiety driving GA-400. Highly recommend for any parent wanting their teen to be a capable, responsible driver!

My experience was great! I was really nervous but he was very helpful and calmed my nerves. He answered any questions I had and gave me feedback at the end. I’d recommend Roskelley Driving School to anyone wanting to go 3rd party and skip the waitlist at the DMV. Testing with Carson was a much better experience than I had at the DMV.

AGAPE is great place to get your CDL. My instructor was Mr Rudolph , he was very patient with everyone , very profesional and always available to answer questions . The behind the wheel training was fantastic, they will teach you skills that take time to learn like backing a 53 foot trailer, how to shift and double clutch . I got to practice driving in different conditions, which helped me feel confident and prepared for my CDL license test. I can honestly say that I really enjoyed my training experience at AGAPE and I highly recommend to anyone in Montgomery area looking to be a CDL driver ,

This school is perfect for taking your MSF course or furthering your education and experience. They have numerous form factors of motorcycles available for you to find something similar to what you'll ride or something that might be easier to learn on. You'll learn how to confident handle your motorcycle especially at slow speed maneuvers which is where problems often happen, and you will gain the confidence to take on learning to handle a larger bike. Bob and Tori were the instructors for my basic safety course to get my class M license, I watched them teach the class before mine as well as going through another class myself and they were patient and clear with the instructions. They took the time to show you what you did wrong and easy ways to correct it. Tori rides first and shows you what to do, which helped prevent any confusion and help you focus on learning and practicing the exercises. I cannot recommend this school enough, safety first when on two wheels.

Great experience at Alamo Driving School! Gabriel, Steve, George, and Max were all incredibly friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. They don’t just prep you for the test, they make sure you really understand everything for the real world too. Smiljka and Ana in the office were amazing, always helpful and flexible with scheduling. The school attracts great students from all kinds of backgrounds, which made training a lot more enjoyable. Highly recommend if you’re serious about getting your CDL.

Atlas Driving School 100% prepared me for my driver's test, and I passed with flying colors. Even though my appointment was on short notice, they still managed to fit me into the schedule a day before my driver's test. I had learned so much, and I never knew I could feel so prepared. The little tips and tricks that Mr. Khan had given me added up, and I already felt like a ready driver. As a teenager, these classes were very much needed and greatly appreciated. Thank you, Mr. Khan!

I have recently received my class A cdl from changing lanes and let me tell you what I experienced. From the instructors to the office staff on up to the owner have all treated me with the upmost respect. I've never really had much of opportunities in my life coming from a single mother home raising 4 children on her own back in California life was hard for us. To say I've made a few bad decisions in my life would be a fair statement and I continue to be judged for those mistakes most places I apply to. But at changing lanes they did not judge me! They opened there facilities to me and shared there knowledge and helped me gain the skills I needed to be able to level up in life! Not only did they help me get my Class A CDL but the owner Mr. Dillbert has offered me a full time position working directly for him! I dont know of any school out there that is not only helping people get there CDL but also offering real employment opportunities to students that have just completed the program! The owner and staff at Changing Lanes will always have my respect and a place in my heart! Mr Freddy has become more than my instructor he is my mentor and my friend! He believed in me even when I doubted myself! I know I would not have "fit in" and maybe even be made to feel uncomfortable enough at other schools that I may have not finished the program...but not at changing lanes! They made me feel not only welcome to be there but also made me feel that I belong there! Thank you Mr Dillbert for giving me the opportunity and experience that is CHANGING LANES CDL SCHOOL!

The worst company that admits to their error in not scheduling the final 2 hour class of a 6 hour package purchased before a road test. After several attempts to schedule and documented through text and they refuse to refund the 2 hours of class NOT received. When I requested a refund I finally get a call saying sorry you fell through the cracks. Really. Terrible business practice of basically stealing your money because they demand cash upfront and not completing the service. Only requested the amount of class time they did not provide and again said sorry no refunds. Thieves
