Frequently Asked Questions

What is Driving-Schools.com and how does it work?

We launched Driving-Schools.com in 2020 with a singular goal: to provide the most comprehensive list of driving schools in the United States. Driving-Schools.com isn't just a website, it's a platform that helps literally anyone that fits their specific needs. We also help driving schools showcase themselves and present their offers in the best possible way.

How complete is your list of U.S. driving schools?

We're confident that our list of the 10,000+ known driving schools in the United States is the most complete resource available. Our staff also continuously works to update the list as schools open, close, or change ownership.

If we've missed a school, let us know and we'll add it to the list. If you are a school owner, then you can register your school for free.

How to register own school?

It's fast and easy. Just click the "Register School" button that's on the top left of every page. You can then either claim and update an existing listing, or you can add a new school to the database.

When entering details about your school, more is better. Providing information about its instructors and available packages will help you appear higher in our search listings. Basically, a more complete listing leads to higher visibility, which means more students for your school.

Do driving school owners have to pay to register their school?

No, it is 100% free to list your school on Driving-Schools.com. List as much detail as you want, there will never be any extra cost and it will help drive students to your school.

Do I have to pay a fee to find a driving school?

No! Searching for schools is always free. There are no hidden fees or memberships or anything like that. We created Driving-Schools.com to be a free service that helps people , so they can get on the road as quickly and safely as possible.

How can I contact Driving-Schools.com?

Want to learn more about the benefits of partnering with us? Or have a general question or suggestion? Simply click on our Support Link and we'll get back to you right away.

How do I leave a review for a driving school?

We'd love to hear about your driving school experiences. To leave a review for one, simply search for the driving school on the home page. Click on the associated listing and then scroll down to the bottom of the page to find the review section.

Please be as descriptive as possible about your experience with the school, including its packages and instructors. You'll be helping future drivers by giving them a first-hand insight on what to expect from a particular school.

Atif was the driving instructor for our 15 year old son for behind the wheel. Atif and my son worked very well together. Very easy for pick up and drop off, price was good, and scheduling was easy. Very happy with Atif and 2020 Driving School.

I can’t recommend this school enough! After being in a car accident, I lost a lot of confidence behind the wheel and put off getting my license for much longer than I should have. From the very first lesson, Guy was incredibly patient, calm, and encouraging. He explained everything clearly, corrected my mistakes without making me feel discouraged, and helped me build the confidence I needed to drive safely. Thanks to his guidance, I passed my road test today on my first try! I truly appreciate the time and effort he put into helping me feel comfortable behind the wheel again. If you’re looking for an instructor who is knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely wants to see you succeed, I highly recommend Guy. Thank you for helping me reach this milestone!

Dishonest and lazy business practices, a complete rip off. Paid $399 for 3 90 minutes lessons plus use of the vehicle for licensing road test for $200 extra. $599 total plus fees. She picks the student up, drives 30 minutes to another location. Then instructs student for 30 minutes. Then drives student back home. That's a 90 minute lesson to her. 30 minutes of teaching and allowing the student to drive, 60 minutes of her driving and chatting. She says she does not yet trust this student to drive the vehicle to the site.. YOU ARE BEING PAID TO TEACH DRIVING. There is no reason to drive 30 minutes away to begin the lesson, that's actually a crazy way to do this. There are roads and parking lots all over, but she prefers to intentionally eat away at the lesson time. Then after the 4.5 hours of "lessons" (1.5 hours of actual lessons + 3 hours of her driving and chatting), we are looking to use the vehicle for the road test. She says no, the student is not ready for the test. Buy more lessons, she says. Not buying more lessons from you, please return the extra $200 we paid for the test. She says no. Excuse me??? She says they have a policy of no refunds... But you don't have a policy to fulfill the services for which you were paid? She says it's in the terms and conditions that the instructor has sole discretion yada yada. OK, that is the legal justification for why you think you can get away with it. What is the moral justification? What did you do to earn that extra $200? What did the student receive for paying it to you? Ended up getting $100 refunded after a headache and much argument. So the final net total was $499 plus fees for 90 minutes of teaching and no test. This is a complete scam and rip off. She will look for any reason to not do her job and keep your money anyway. Do not let it happen to you. Go elsewhere for your own sake. It feels very bad to be taken advantage of and spend that kind of money for basically nothing in return. P.S. This is a new owner as of 2026, she just took over for the previous owner who retired. So any previous good reputation should be disregarded.

I learned a lot. Some of the activities we did were really entertaining. The note taking was fast pasted but manage able. If you write good notes everything will go pretty smoothly in class. The instructor was also very talkative and engaging

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an excellent experience with Dayanna! My son, Armani, passed his road test on his first try, and we couldn’t be happier with the instruction and support she provided throughout the process. Dayanna was professional, patient, knowledgeable, and always on time for every lesson. One of the things we appreciated most was the convenience of being picked up directly from home for each driving lesson, which made scheduling so much easier. The vehicle used for lessons was always clean and well-maintained, helping Armani feel comfortable and confident behind the wheel. The online 5-hour class was also very flexible and convenient, making it easy to fit into our busy schedule. Dayanna’s teaching style helped build Armani’s confidence and prepared him thoroughly for the road test. Thanks to her excellent instruction, he passed on his first attempt. We highly recommend Dayanna to anyone looking for a reliable, dedicated, and outstanding driving instructor. Thank you for helping Armani achieve this important milestone!

DO NOT CHOOSE DANA’S as a driving School for your child, the staff is disrespectful And they’ve had multiple complaints. This place is disgusting and if you take your child here you’re setting them up. There’s a staff member there named Nicole and she is a disgusting human being. She shouldn’t be working there anymore, and shouldn’t be working the five hour classes for the certificate. Choose someplace and don’t go to Dana’s. You’re gonna save a lot more money. Also, their classes are $400. Make sure you read before calling them and if you don’t show up to a class which they don’t tell you they give you $100 fine for not showing up. And that’s a little money hungry. Take down Dana’s driving school.

John Sharrock Did my youngest daughter’s driving test with her. Upon signing her up for her road test we were emailed instructions on reviewing a video on things she would be tested on during her driving test. My daughter found this very insightful and very helpful and made her feel more confident and relaxed about doing her road test. When we went for the road test, she had John. And he was excellent during her road test made her feel comfortable, laugh, and that ease behind the wheel. No pressure from him and she ace the test on the first try with flying colors. This is my second time using Mr. R for driving tests and class and they are excellent. I would highly recommend them every time to anyone who is looking for a great driving school. Thank you, Mr. ours and John!

I did not use this school however after doing parent taught drivers education and failing miserably at the DVM 3 times I stopped by this school and asked for advice on what to do and what I needed to bring with us to the next appointment. Judy and Nichole were so helpful in making sure we had all of our paperwork together. We also scheduled the driving test with them. After a passed driving test they verified that we will have everything we need to take back to the DMV for the real license. Thank you Judy and Nichole for everything.

For a company that has been doing business since 1975 you will rightfully assume 60 years staying power means they are top of the food chain in terms of good customer service, great deliverables, and notches higher in every key performance index but to the contrary this is one of the worst company bar none. Customer service is a flush in the toilet; unprofessional and uncouth staff, zero accountability, structural ineptitude, deceptive practices they more than deserve negative ratings. Ownership has changed hands with rapid decline in standards if there is any left as a benchmark. They are profiting immensely from direct State referrals from BMV and until that revocation is actualized, audited for scam charges; they don't have the cajones to effect the necessary changes to mitigate the mountain of negative reviews.   My son completed his final in-car evaluation lessons on April 30th[ Reference enclosure file]. His instructor Jason P confirmed that within three(3) days, certification will be issued via email.  I called the office multiple times, and the phone went unanswered. The office finally returns my voice call and right from the jump this lady's bellicose posture, intonation and abrasiveness was so palpable for no apparent reason. She kept insisting the instructor "lied" to me and I should go read the contract stating they have fourteen(14)days to issue completion certification. Condescendingly she mockingly patronizes me loudly counting fourteen(14) days and telling me I do not know what business days are when I offered an alternative opinion that there's absolutely no way a mere issuance of a template certification of completion via email should take fourteen(14) working days. Surprisingly she rudely opines they have hundreds of kids and cannot issue certification timely but in the same vein unduly pressurizes me to pay $25 and I will have the certification ASAP. I requested to speak to a manager which got her even more incense and infuriated. She stated, " I am not doing this" and abruptly hung up the phone. I did not receive any call from a manager to address my concerns.   Clearly this is the fleecing playbook tactics of greed to squeeze out money from customers with a plethora of similar complaints from multiple customers' reviews. The organizational structural inefficiencies, ineptitudes, unprofessionalism, uncouth staffs, and lack of human decorum and decency in addressing the myriads of complaints makes this business referral especially emanating from the Ohio BMV absolutely scandalous. I will posit to say for a business that parent entrust their kids with driver training due diligence, stringent oversight into their business practices and certification should be waived until proper guidelines are adhered to.  Breach Of Contract- Per their own good faith contract, at the time of filing this compliant on May 26th, 2006, Schwartz Driving school has breached their obligation of not providing completion certification for my son within fourteen days despite multiple pleas request. I hereby invoke all my rights of seeking immediate release of the driver's completion of certification, compensatory damages of a full refund, negligent infliction of emotional distress and vindictiveness, unqualified apology. I demand the State institute a forensic audit of all the supplementary charges barreling at gun point for illicit recovery and possible refunds of all $25 charges for their failure to issue certification of completion.  Scheduling- Schwartz driving school online scheduling is absolutely atrocious with so many ambiguities on their website and it's the luck of the draw depending on who you speak to on the phone with conflicting advice on when to schedule, time, and slots availabilities. The website states first come, first claim bases but after spending countless hours constantly checking back and forth for openings and hitting a brick wall of not able to schedule an unruly customer service rep after my repeated pleading finally confess, they only have a short window opening postings of availabilities. Day of available new schedule posting is not on their website and shrouded in secrecy for customers to magically figure out. You can be locked out for two months and unable to schedule. It's an unreasonable expectation to take kids out of school as the most available slots are school hours. After school hours and Saturdays are gone within minutes, the bane of inadequate staffing to accommodate the high demands.    Accountability- There seem to be no accountability, corrective action or review of staff communication logs, proper staff customer service training, significant low staffing culminating in very poor substandard delivery which does not commensurate with the hundreds of customers trooping in. Schwartz Driving has failed to address all these concerns because why will they? They benefit immensely from the direct referrals from the State BMV with an influx of unsuspecting customers riding on the State "recommendations". Until Schwartz Driving School feet are put to the fire and Ohio BMV withdraws their referral recommendation and licensures, they will never put their house in order. There is no incentive from Schwartz to overhaul their practices, especially when they are profiting from state recommendations. Managerial listening in on the call logs and phone interactions will reveal the unprofessional attitude of the staff
