Frequently Asked Questions

What is Driving-Schools.com and how does it work?

We launched Driving-Schools.com in 2020 with a singular goal: to provide the most comprehensive list of driving schools in the United States. Driving-Schools.com isn't just a website, it's a platform that helps literally anyone that fits their specific needs. We also help driving schools showcase themselves and present their offers in the best possible way.

How complete is your list of U.S. driving schools?

We're confident that our list of the 10,000+ known driving schools in the United States is the most complete resource available. Our staff also continuously works to update the list as schools open, close, or change ownership.

If we've missed a school, let us know and we'll add it to the list. If you are a school owner, then you can register your school for free.

How to register own school?

It's fast and easy. Just click the "Register School" button that's on the top left of every page. You can then either claim and update an existing listing, or you can add a new school to the database.

When entering details about your school, more is better. Providing information about its instructors and available packages will help you appear higher in our search listings. Basically, a more complete listing leads to higher visibility, which means more students for your school.

Do driving school owners have to pay to register their school?

No, it is 100% free to list your school on Driving-Schools.com. List as much detail as you want, there will never be any extra cost and it will help drive students to your school.

Do I have to pay a fee to find a driving school?

No! Searching for schools is always free. There are no hidden fees or memberships or anything like that. We created Driving-Schools.com to be a free service that helps people , so they can get on the road as quickly and safely as possible.

How can I contact Driving-Schools.com?

Want to learn more about the benefits of partnering with us? Or have a general question or suggestion? Simply click on our Support Link and we'll get back to you right away.

How do I leave a review for a driving school?

We'd love to hear about your driving school experiences. To leave a review for one, simply search for the driving school on the home page. Click on the associated listing and then scroll down to the bottom of the page to find the review section.

Please be as descriptive as possible about your experience with the school, including its packages and instructors. You'll be helping future drivers by giving them a first-hand insight on what to expect from a particular school.

For a company that has been doing business since 1975 you will rightfully assume 60 years staying power means they are top of the food chain in terms of good customer service, great deliverables, and notches higher in every key performance index but to the contrary this is one of the worst company bar none. Customer service is a flush in the toilet; unprofessional and uncouth staff, zero accountability, structural ineptitude, deceptive practices they more than deserve negative ratings. Ownership has changed hands with rapid decline in standards if there is any left as a benchmark. They are profiting immensely from direct State referrals from BMV and until that revocation is actualized, audited for scam charges; they don't have the cajones to effect the necessary changes to mitigate the mountain of negative reviews.   My son completed his final in-car evaluation lessons on April 30th[ Reference enclosure file]. His instructor Jason P confirmed that within three(3) days, certification will be issued via email.  I called the office multiple times, and the phone went unanswered. The office finally returns my voice call and right from the jump this lady's bellicose posture, intonation and abrasiveness was so palpable for no apparent reason. She kept insisting the instructor "lied" to me and I should go read the contract stating they have fourteen(14)days to issue completion certification. Condescendingly she mockingly patronizes me loudly counting fourteen(14) days and telling me I do not know what business days are when I offered an alternative opinion that there's absolutely no way a mere issuance of a template certification of completion via email should take fourteen(14) working days. Surprisingly she rudely opines they have hundreds of kids and cannot issue certification timely but in the same vein unduly pressurizes me to pay $25 and I will have the certification ASAP. I requested to speak to a manager which got her even more incense and infuriated. She stated, " I am not doing this" and abruptly hung up the phone. I did not receive any call from a manager to address my concerns.   Clearly this is the fleecing playbook tactics of greed to squeeze out money from customers with a plethora of similar complaints from multiple customers' reviews. The organizational structural inefficiencies, ineptitudes, unprofessionalism, uncouth staffs, and lack of human decorum and decency in addressing the myriads of complaints makes this business referral especially emanating from the Ohio BMV absolutely scandalous. I will posit to say for a business that parent entrust their kids with driver training due diligence, stringent oversight into their business practices and certification should be waived until proper guidelines are adhered to.  Breach Of Contract- Per their own good faith contract, at the time of filing this compliant on May 26th, 2006, Schwartz Driving school has breached their obligation of not providing completion certification for my son within fourteen days despite multiple pleas request. I hereby invoke all my rights of seeking immediate release of the driver's completion of certification, compensatory damages of a full refund, negligent infliction of emotional distress and vindictiveness, unqualified apology. I demand the State institute a forensic audit of all the supplementary charges barreling at gun point for illicit recovery and possible refunds of all $25 charges for their failure to issue certification of completion.  Scheduling- Schwartz driving school online scheduling is absolutely atrocious with so many ambiguities on their website and it's the luck of the draw depending on who you speak to on the phone with conflicting advice on when to schedule, time, and slots availabilities. The website states first come, first claim bases but after spending countless hours constantly checking back and forth for openings and hitting a brick wall of not able to schedule an unruly customer service rep after my repeated pleading finally confess, they only have a short window opening postings of availabilities. Day of available new schedule posting is not on their website and shrouded in secrecy for customers to magically figure out. You can be locked out for two months and unable to schedule. It's an unreasonable expectation to take kids out of school as the most available slots are school hours. After school hours and Saturdays are gone within minutes, the bane of inadequate staffing to accommodate the high demands.    Accountability- There seem to be no accountability, corrective action or review of staff communication logs, proper staff customer service training, significant low staffing culminating in very poor substandard delivery which does not commensurate with the hundreds of customers trooping in. Schwartz Driving has failed to address all these concerns because why will they? They benefit immensely from the direct referrals from the State BMV with an influx of unsuspecting customers riding on the State "recommendations". Until Schwartz Driving School feet are put to the fire and Ohio BMV withdraws their referral recommendation and licensures, they will never put their house in order. There is no incentive from Schwartz to overhaul their practices, especially when they are profiting from state recommendations. Managerial listening in on the call logs and phone interactions will reveal the unprofessional attitude of the staff

My 19 year old son just left from there to take his driver's test. They refused to let him take it and told him that he had to have a permit, when DPS doesn't require it. They said that their company requires it, but NO WHERE on their site does it state that information. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Any company that refuses to give a refund, and creates policies by the seat of their pants is not worth doing business with. I'll be reporting them.

Brought my daughter to this school and it took her 8 months to complete her driving hours there is no availablility on top of the fact that the instructors do not care if the teen is learning. There were many times the instructor told my daughter to drive with 2 fingers? Or she came home upset several times because the instructors were not patient. Save your money!

I had a great experience with Coreway Driving School. I took my road test at Starrett City, and everything went smoothly from start to finish. The instructor was professional, patient, and helped me feel confident before the test. The car was clean and easy to drive, and the whole process was well organized. Highly recommend Coreway to anyone preparing for their road test in NYC!

I read online reviews first. Then I decide to make an appointment for my daughter with Genie. she is the best. We were the last tester yesterday. Genie is our instructor. She is so professional and nice. My daughter and I were very nervous. She used very calm voice to explain what my daughter needs to do. 100% recommend her.

I only passed my road test because of Atlas and Mr. Khan! When we first connected with Melissa over the phone, she was very kind and patient. She and Mr. Khan worked with my parents to create a tailored plan just for me. I had already failed my road test several times over the years and was starting to lose hope. With Mr. Khan, all of my weaknesses were fully addressed, and I actually understood the rules of the road for the first time. He also went with me on the day of my test, and we did several practice road tests at my testing location. I wish we found you guys years ago. You're the best!

Donna is amazing. If you want your children or grandchildren to learn to drive correctly and pass the driving test the first time, then this is the school for you. She is an excellent instructor and holds her students to a high standard, not an unreachable standard. She guides them appropriately and you can tell that Donna actually cares about her students learning safe driving skills and tries to instill those skills in her students. I would highly recommend A to Z Driving Academy.

I originally thought the classroom hours of drivers ed were going to be boring and monotonous. Peakway driving school contradicted this. Their classes are engaging and fun, and I had a great experience and learned lots.

I can’t say enough good things about the Superbike Coach program. Coach Can and his team are the absolute best. I started with his classes in January, only 2 months into my riding journey. The amount of confidence I gained on the bike after just Cornering School Day 1 was immediate and invaluable. Since then, I have taken Day 2 twice, Day 3, Knee Down, and will do Day 1 all over again later this month. So much improvement in such little time. My level of confidence & trust in myself & my bikes have skyrocketed. I just got my knee down!! Take these classes. You will not regret it.

My grandson failed his driving test three times. We called the driving school and asked for help. Dave suggested the driving assessment. The instructor was awesome, patient, and taught with a positive attitude. I sat in the backseat and watched. I’ve been driving over 50 years and learned something’s too. Thank you Dave Colella. By the way, my grandson passed the test.

I had an incredible experience taking the beginner motorcycle course with Jeff through Cruisin’ Safely in Neenah, Wisconsin. From the very start, Jeff created a welcoming, low-pressure environment that put everyone at ease—even when there were a handful of inevitable beginner mistakes. Instead of tension or frustration, the class felt supportive, encouraging, and focused on learning. Jeff’s demeanor was calm, patient, and approachable, which made a huge difference for new riders. It was clear right away that Jeff has a deep level of experience and truly knows how to teach. Instructions were clear, practical, and delivered in a way that made even challenging concepts feel manageable. Jeff had a great way of building confidence without rushing anyone, and that made the whole experience both enjoyable and empowering. By the end of the course, it genuinely felt like we were learning from someone who cared about our safety, progress, and comfort on a motorcycle. Jeff made everyone feel right at home, and that kind of instruction is priceless—especially for beginners. I highly recommend this course to anyone thinking about learning to ride. You couldn’t ask for a better instructor.

Cindy, Just want to let you know how much we appreciate you and your superior knowledge and guidance during my son’s driving lessons! You provided a boost of confidence that is very important! Your inside knowledge of what to do and avoid while driving, practicing on the road course, and your awesome tips on parallel parking and driving were so helpful. The screenshots and tips you texted were helpful during practice at home. You are an excellent instructor and we are so grateful for you!

Worst "business" ever. Absolutely atrocious. Scams people out of money and is belligerent. I think it's closed down now.

Terrible customer service. We had scheduled instruction for our child. The instructor never showed up. We were home the entire day, but the instructor never called, no voice mail messages, didn't ring the doorbell. When we called to report this and reschedule we were told that the instructor had TEXTED our land line number and sat in their car on our property but out of sight from the house. They then tried to blame us for the error. A simple apology would have allowed us to reschedule and move forward, but none was given. They fail to return calls when promised and are a hassle to work with.

Unfreaking believable. We were out to dinner on a Sunday night (tonight) celebrating my son's birthday and I get a text from A Asia Driving school at 9pm that they had to cancel a 9am drive test tomorrow morning for my son. 12 hours until his drive test and his DPS appointment, which took me 4 months to schedule is at 10am tomorrow morning. I was told a medical appt is why and sorry for the inconvenience. There are multiple people that work here and no one else could do his road test. This is beyond unprofessional. It takes MONTHS to get a DPS appointment. I can't just reschedule for later in the day. They said that the test person would be available later in the day just not at 9am. Unforgiveable. I will post a new review every chance I can get.

Taking the eight hour driving, drug and alcohol course was very interesting. Casey was very good at explaining everything I needed to know and me being a senior citizen that I truly am illiterate when it comes to computers, telephones sending messages that is most stressful, not knowing how to do it. I was able to take a photo of my work and send it directly to Casey that was very stress relieving that I was able to do that and that he accepted that thank you very much.
