Frequently Asked Questions

What is Driving-Schools.com and how does it work?

We launched Driving-Schools.com in 2020 with a singular goal: to provide the most comprehensive list of driving schools in the United States. Driving-Schools.com isn't just a website, it's a platform that helps literally anyone that fits their specific needs. We also help driving schools showcase themselves and present their offers in the best possible way.

How complete is your list of U.S. driving schools?

We're confident that our list of the 10,000+ known driving schools in the United States is the most complete resource available. Our staff also continuously works to update the list as schools open, close, or change ownership.

If we've missed a school, let us know and we'll add it to the list. If you are a school owner, then you can register your school for free.

How to register own school?

It's fast and easy. Just click the "Register School" button that's on the top left of every page. You can then either claim and update an existing listing, or you can add a new school to the database.

When entering details about your school, more is better. Providing information about its instructors and available packages will help you appear higher in our search listings. Basically, a more complete listing leads to higher visibility, which means more students for your school.

Do driving school owners have to pay to register their school?

No, it is 100% free to list your school on Driving-Schools.com. List as much detail as you want, there will never be any extra cost and it will help drive students to your school.

Do I have to pay a fee to find a driving school?

No! Searching for schools is always free. There are no hidden fees or memberships or anything like that. We created Driving-Schools.com to be a free service that helps people , so they can get on the road as quickly and safely as possible.

How can I contact Driving-Schools.com?

Want to learn more about the benefits of partnering with us? Or have a general question or suggestion? Simply click on our Support Link and we'll get back to you right away.

How do I leave a review for a driving school?

We'd love to hear about your driving school experiences. To leave a review for one, simply search for the driving school on the home page. Click on the associated listing and then scroll down to the bottom of the page to find the review section.

Please be as descriptive as possible about your experience with the school, including its packages and instructors. You'll be helping future drivers by giving them a first-hand insight on what to expect from a particular school.

Ms Harder was an incredible drivers instructor. She stays calm throughout the whole experience and tells you everything you need to know to succeed. She can answer any question you have and is very friendly, funny, and kind! She gives great lessons and gentle reminders on how to do things the right way. She was very helpful and is the perfect instructor for anyone who wants to learn and build their confidence behind the wheel.

I passed my road test today yayyy! Truly appreciative of my Driving Instructor Mr. Khan who was extremely patient with me throughout the entire process. I called the school close to the time of my road test and Fatima made so much effort to fit me in the schedule. Thanks a million Atlas Driving School.

I had by far the worst experience of my life at Greg’s Driving School. The instructors I was assigned Helen Castillo and Luis Vargas were completely unprofessional, rude, and outright abusive. My first lesson with Luis Vargas was a joke. He spent the lesson talking on his phone instead of doing his job, then had the nerve to scold me for not having enough driving hours which is absolutely ridiculous considering I was there to learn how to drive in the first place. His behavior was careless, dismissive, and showed zero interest in actually teaching. My second lesson with Helen Castillo, a lady who was wearing a black face mask was even worse. She used offensive language, constantly put me down, and made me feel completely worthless. When I asked how I could improve, instead of doing her job as an instructor, she told me I had “no chance” of getting my driver’s license and that I could not improve at all. That is not teaching—that is bullying. I left the lesson in tears and felt completely hopeless afterward. This kind of behavior is unacceptable, unprofessional, and damaging, especially coming from people who are supposed to help students learn. I will be taking further action to ensure that no one else is treated this way. Judging by other reviews, I am clearly not the only person who has been mistreated, particularly by Helen Castillo. On top of that, my friend also had a terrible experience with Luis Vargas, proving this is a pattern, not a one-time issue. DO NOT EVER GO HERE!!! This place tolerates disrespectful instructors who bully students who are paying $400, instead of teaching them.

The Driver Improvement Program & Reckless Aggressive Driver Training Program (RADEP) course with 001st 5 Plus Point 08 Hour Driver Improvement exceeds the expectations of most students. . The instructors are highly knowledgeable, professional, and clearly focused on helping students understand the material—not just complete a requirement. The course was well-structured, engaging, and aligned with Virginia court and DMV standards. Everything is clearly explained, questions were welcomed, and the staff made the process smooth from registration through completion. If you are required to take a RADEP or driver improvement course in the Hampton Roads area, I highly recommend 001st 5 Plus Point 08 Hour Driver Improvement for their professionalism, organization, and commitment to quality instruction.

I enrolled my teenage son for the full course at Atlas Driving School in West Hartford. As a parent who believes in giving my child a safe and top-notch driver’s education, the instructors and staff exceeded my expectations. Melissa is very attentive and always follows up, ensuring that all in-class sessions are confirmed and that the 2-hour hands-on driving appointments are convenient. Khan was my son’s instructor. He is calm, informative, safe, and always early. He knows how to handle a teenager and answers all questions with professionalism and courtesy. My son has anxiety; however, Khan’s demeanor and etiquette always set the tone for a pleasant instruction behind the wheel. I am so pleased that my son was under his tutelage, as he now has greater confidence and awareness. I wholeheartedly recommend Khan and The Atlas Driving School without reservation to teach anyone interested in learning the rules of the road.

My daughter asked on Lockportians for a recommendation for a driving school. Cordaro Driving School came highly recommended. I would like to say although at one point he may have been great that is no longer the case. I work in customer service so you can understand that I do realize how it can be. Here are the issues we had with him: 1) Cordaro doubled booked lessons 2 times out of 16(booking a lesson at the same time as a students road test). 2) Cordaro didn't show or text/call to notify my daughter he wasn't going to be able to keep the lesson 4 out of 16 lessons. 3) Cordaro consistently asked to reschedule lessons multiple times in the day of a lesson. And consistently ran 20 minutes late on top of that. 4) When asked why the above was happening, Cordaro's response was "I don't know what's going on with me ". I suggested using his calendar on his phone. 5) Cordaro was consistently making phone calls while trying to instruct causing distractions. 6) Cordaro pushed my daughter to schedule her road test without having taught her the more difficult things like parallel parking, and K turns and never took her driving on the expressway as promised. 7) When asked why the difficult things had not been told yet, Cordaro responded "I do this for a living" . I believe Parallel parking and 3 point turns are essential things to learn and feel comfortable doing before scheduling a road test. My daughter did recieve all 16 lessons and pass her road test on her first attempt. I am posting this so you know how what to expect if you choose to do business with him.

My driving lesson experience helped me prepare to get a driver’s license here in the US. Though I am already driving in my home country for quite a while, I still took this opportunity to help me become a pro in driving and I really appreciate my driving instructor Mark, as he gives the best and practical advice for what I truly need. 🫡

Los reviews recientes en su página de Google no reflejan mi experiencia; muchos parecen poco confiables o pagados. Para mí, ESTO HA SIDO UNA ESTAFA. Si no quieres perder dinero, NO LLAMES AQUÍ.

I had about 3 Adult driving lessons with David and I've learned more tricks and tips than a month ago with me solely driving with my parents. He was super engaging and encouraging- taught me the easiest method for a three-point turn and overall a very nice and understanding guy. 10/10 would recommend.

This is not a true driving school ..it's a driving prep school ..they want you to pay a thousand dollars so you can teach your own kid to drive.....the 30 classroom part is a huge waste of time..and they do 10 lousy hours of on the road class..they teach nothing about real hands on driving ..it should be 180 hours of behind the wheel and the parents do the classroom crap ..it's a huge waste of money but you will have to do it because there is no other driving schools other than 603 and they are just as bad ..30 hours of useless class and 10 measly hours of behind the wheel for 1000.00$ ... UNBELIEVABLE WASTE OF MONEY...I paid 350$ and was taught to drive and the driving teacher drove us to get our licence and we used their car ...those days are over and it got worse..the instructor was very nice tho

I worked with Kevin from JLW Auto School. I am an older person who had a license for 10 years but let it expire 25 years ago. From day one, when I started with Kevin in September 2025, he treated me with respect and kindness. He also pushed me to do my best and to practice. He saw right off that I had remembered much of what I used to know, so he used that to teach me the intricacies of driving, not just enough to pass the test. I spent 2.5 months practicing with Kevin, having weekly sessions. He even did 2x a week as I got closer to my scheduled road test. And JLW did all the work for me to schedule the road test, which I appreciated. The only drawback: I could not take the test in the same JLW car I had been practicing in. If there was a way for me to practice, even just a few times, in the car I would take the test in, it would have been appreciated. But in the end, I passed with flying colors. I recommend both JLW and definitely, have Kevin as your driving instructor. Thank you!

Name: Phillip Hollander Title: City Park Worker Employer: NYC Parks and Recreation Department Start Date with Executive Driving School- Oct/7/2025 Current date- 11/14/2025 Total dollars spent- $250 ELDT (entry level driving Course)+$1500 package for 6 classes and testing vehicle on day of your road test +(1 additional class $200) +$540x3 for three road test attempts (I only failed two but they didnt honor the package deal of 6 classes+1 road test TOTAL COMPENSATION=$3570..................they unjustly wiggled their way out of honoring the package deal so I ended up paying for a road test that I never recieved. I memorized their entire script word for word, syllable for syllable and I cant make it pass the pre-trip inspection. After failing both of my road tests and unjustly scamming me out of a road test I never recieved they had the nerve to say "give us another 200$ for a class and another $540 for another scheduled road test" im $3570 invested in this school with no ClassB and they are currently asking for another $740 to continue services6 but I already exhausted all of their lessons. If anyone has further questions about my reciepts, the entire script that their instructors use for their lessons, or just a more detailed experience feel free to email me at p.hollander33@gmail.com. If you are currently employed by a city agency such as Parks department, sanitation, fire department, Do not use this school , the money i used investing in this school id rather use it to expose them so i can stop this from happening to anyone else. thanks for reading. I will continue to update this review to give you guys more information but wanted to atleast send out rough draft to get the word out immediately

If I could give them negative stars I would. Students are required to schedule seven drives through Rhode’s online scheduling website. Unfortunately, my experience over the last five weeks with this company has been nothing short of a nightmare. After signing up and waiting for the office to “approve” my account, I finally logged in to schedule my daughter’s first drive, only to find nothing available. I was told to check the site every day until something opened up. A week later, I learned the first drive couldn’t even be booked online and had to be scheduled manually. That would’ve been helpful to know upfront. After her first lesson, I was told by Celeste to check back that Friday to book the next drive. Again, wrong. No openings, no clickable links. Then I was told drives must be 28 days apart, another key detail never mentioned before. Even after waiting the full 28 days, there was still no availability. My husband called on a Tuesday and was told the schedule would open at 3 PM Wednesday. I checked first thing Thursday morning, still nothing. When I called again, Celeste told me I needed to log in three times a day for several days each week just to catch a spot before it filled up. She said the system generates sessions randomly, there’s no rhyme or reason to it, and there’s nothing the office can do. When I spoke to a so-called “manager” Meghan, she repeated the same excuses. When I voiced my frustration about being given conflicting information and an inefficient system to work with, she accused me of not understanding their process, used inappropriate and insulting language, spoke over me and refused to have any accountability. I ended the call as it wasn't going anywhere only for her to call back and leave a voicemail informing me that she canceled my daughter’s upcoming drive and contract entirely, ultimately not fulfilling their end of the agreement. My daughter also reported the vehicle she drove in with an instructor was falling apart, having to use the high beams the entire drive since the low beams were out, talking the entire drive and not paying attention to the students in the vehicle. This is, without question, the most unprofessional, incompetent, disorganized, and disrespectful company I’ve ever dealt with. They refuse to hold themselves accountable for any wrong doing and treat paying customers like garbage. Teaching your child to drive on your own will feel like cupcakes and rainbows compared to the chaos and dysfunction of Rhodes Driving School.
