Hands on Activities Learn about basic engine parts Learn how to check the oil and other fluids Learn how to use jumper cables Learn how to use a breathalyzer to start a car Learn how to put air in tires Drive a pedal car while wearing "drunk" goggles, The official DPS Road Rules and Road Signs test is given at Victoria Driving School. No additional written test is required at the DPS office.

This highly interactive, professionally taught, six hour course meets all Texas Dept. of Licensing and Regulation and Texas Dept. of Public Safety requirements. All instructors are certified by the Texas Dept. of Licensing and Regulation. Classes are offered EVERY SATURDAY and mostly the first and third Tuesday and Thursday of every month. Our Night Class is a two part class offered on mostly the first and third Tuesday and Thursday evenings each month from 5 30pm to 8 30pm. YOU MUST START ON TUESDAY EVENING. Our One Day class meets every Saturday from 8 00 am to 2 45 pm. Students may walk in about 5 minutes before either of these classes begin. Walk-ins are always welcome and pre-registration is not necessary. Please arrive on time. Late arrivals may not be admitted.
The total course fee is $60.00 and can be paid by cash, or credit card when you arrive to begin part one of the course. All major credit cards are accepted. Please know your social security number, driver's license number (if you have one) and the judge's name when you come to class. If you do not know the judges name, try to know the city/county where the court is located.
The course fee is $35.00 and includes two certificates, one for the court and one for insurance discount. If you do not have a traffic ticket, and want the course only for insurance discount, the fee is only $25.00. The fee can be paid by cash or check upon arrival. All classes are done on a walk-in basis. Students do not have to pre-register or leave their name to attend any class. Students do not have to bring anything to class with them. Proof of insurance or the actual ticket are not required. The only thing students need to know is the city where the traffic ticket was written. An official completion receipt is given to each student at the end of class. It can be used as temporary written proof that the course was completed by a certain date. Your certificate that the court requires is mailed to the student in about three working days. All of our students receive our continuing support after class. We respond very quickly to requests for information and insurance letters. Questions concerning court paperwork procedures, duplicate certificates and Notary work are handled promptly.
