Founded by John E. Cuthbert, Berkeley Auto became a popular school for new drivers in the Greater Lawrence area. First established on Berkeley Street in Lawrence, MA John led the school and helped transform Lawrence with better drivers through helping students obtain their license.

In 1990, John chose to retire and pass on the legacy to Charleen and Rolando Suliveras, the current owners of Berkeley Auto. She began working as a secretary in 1982, and worked toward obtaining her driving instructor license. Quickly intrigued by Charleen’s teaching, Roland jumped on board in 1986 and started teaching part time and has worked his way up ever since! Charleen grew up in Tower Hill and knows the ins and outs of Driver Education. From teenagers to adults, Berkeley Auto School has helped put countless students on the road after passing their licensing exam.
