This option is recommended for students who are comfortable with the idea of driving. This option covers all the Idaho State requirements and standards. 30 hours of classroom or online instruction. 6 hours of in-car instruction. 6 hours of student observation. Students will learn the inside operations of the vehicle. Proper seat, mirror and steering wheel positions will be taught. Students will learn hand position on the wheel and “push-pull” and “hand over hand” steering. Braking and acceleration will be practiced as well as lane position, negotiation of curves, 3 second gaps, stops and starts, 4-way stops, turn lanes, yielding, perpendicular, angle, curb and hill parking will be practiced. Students will also learn highway and freeway driving including on and off ramps and lane changes Emphasis on proper space and speed, signs, signals and rules of the road will be taught consistently throughout the course.

This option covers all the Idaho State requirements and standards. 30 hours of classroom or online instruction. 6 hours of in-car instruction. 6 hours of student observation. 2 hour pre-drive with trained instructor ($150 value). Includes Defensive Driving course! ($75 value). This option includes 2 hours of extra drive time to practice fundamentals. If your student is a little apprehensive, this is an excellent way to get your student the extra confidence boost to help them succeed. This option also includes access to our live Defensive Driving course which will further reinforce the skills learned in Driver's Ed. It might also reduce your insurance costs. It will help provide the extra time to overcome any anxiety and getting your child ready to be a safe, independent driver. It also includes a 1 hour pre-test session to be completed after the driving portion but before the driving test. This is a real confidence booster and a great chance to get some more time behind the wheel before testing.
