Programs and Classes
Tri-Valley’s Driver Training program consists of 6 hours of professional behind-the-wheel instruction. For your convenience this course is divided into three lessons, two hours each. Students will learn basic driving skills to operate a motor vehicle safely, proper driving techniques that will prepare them for the DMV drive test. We offer free home, school or work pick-up and return (within the same vicinity). Lessons are offered Monday thru Saturday (mornings, afternoon, and evenings). Upon completion of course, students will receive a certificate of completion as required by the DMV. Students will also receive an evaluation form for their parents that will indicate which specific driving task areas may need improvement. As an added value, we also offer a completely complimentary 1-hour In-Classroom Drive Test Review Session for students and parents to attend. This one hour session is free for students who have completed all six hours (6 Hours) of Driver Training with Tri-Valley Driving School. A Professional Driving Instructor will review with students and parents what they can expect when they go to the DMV for their Drive Test. This is the perfect opportunity for parents to ask questions and figure out what finishing touches they might want to practice with thier students before thier drive test. Please call our office for more details.
Tri-Valley Driving School is dedicated in producing safe and skillful drivers. Once you obtain your learners permit from the DMV, call us and we will be happy to set up your first professional driving lesson at your convenience. Each lesson is at minimum 2-hours. We offer free home, school, Bart or work pick-up and return. Lessons are offered Monday thru Saturday (mornings, afternoon, and evenings)...Depending on your level of experience, our instructors will patiently teach you the skills needed to become a safe and responsible driver. If it is your first time driving, our instructors will NOT take you on the freeway. We want your first driving experience to be a positive one. We would usually begin with a short demonstration drive. Afterwards, you would take over in a quiet residential area. The first lesson generally includes a review of interior operations, left turns, right turns, intersections, lane changes, smooth stops, and right-of-way rules. At the end of the first lesson we will give you an evaluation of your driving. We will identify areas that need work and any bad habits that you may have. Then, we will let you know exactly how many hours of practice you will need and when you will be ready to take your test.
