Varsity Driving Academy courses are taught in three sessions, two hours per session and one student each lesson for a minimum of six hours of behind the wheel training.  VDA operates year around depending on weather conditions. For your convenience we can schedule up to six months in advance. Behind the wheel sessions start and end at student’s home residence with no exceptions. 

Students will be mailed Certificate of Training when course is completed. The certificate is required to take the ND road test for a driver’s license. I am also licensed to sign a road test waiver Certificate of Completion for students that take the 6 hours of Behind the Wheel lessons and have also completed the 30 hours of classroom instruction. When students receive their permits they are required to hold for 12 months if under 16 years before taking road test for restricted license or receiving waiver. If over 16 years must hold permit 6 months prior to getting unrestricted license or receiving road test waiver. Both certificates will be needed to apply for drivers license without taking the final road test.
