Advanced Driving Dynamics
Description

Advanced Driving Dynamics was the brainchild of Mr. James Snelling. Nearly everyday he read about the deaths of so many teens in car crashes. He was driven to help solve the problem.

On December 5, 1996, James wrote a letter to Mr. Jim Olson, Senior Vice President, Toyota Motor Sales, USA –

Dear Mr. Olson,

Back in August of 1995, when I first called to tell you of my plans to start a driving school, your remarks and enthusiasm were major factors in the formation of our company. You asked me at that time to keep you posted on how things were going with the program.

So after one year of operations, I have compiled some information for you, in hopes that you may have some thoughts or input to share with us about our project.

Advanced Driving Dynamics, Inc., was incorporated in California in April of 1996. The purpose and goal of the company is to offer to the general public an advanced form of drivers’ education training. We feel this additional training will help to reduce the number of accidents and fatalities that occur on our highways each day. In looking at the California Highway Patrol Annual report, it shows that 22% of the 25 million drivers in California are under 30 years of age, but that same age group accounts for over 43% of all the injury and fatal accidents. Is it because they are bad drivers? No, it’s because they lack the knowledge, understanding, and experience of car dynamics, vehicle control, along with an “it can’t happen to me” attitude.

Our program is designed to teach drivers of all ages how to deal with the unexpected, through the use of designed exercises that enhance their ability, expand their car control knowledge and develop their reactions and confidence for everyday driving.
