District Heights Driving School
Description

We are MVA-certified, to issue a 36 hours Driver’s Education course, 30 hours of classroom and 6 hours of Behind the Wheel.
We are MVA-Certified to issue a 3-hour drug and alcohol class.
We are MVA-Certified to issue a Driver’s Improvement Program.
Upon completion of this course, you will be eligible to obtain a provisional driver's license in Maryland or a full license if you are over 25 years old.
Maryland law requires all first-time drivers to complete an MVA-certified Driver's Education course in order to obtain a driver's license. This rule applies to all Maryland residents, regardless of age.
You do not need a learner's permit to start the class – in fact, most students find that taking the class first helps them to pass the MVA learner's permit test later when they apply for a permit.
The course consists of two parts:  a classroom portion, and an in-car driving portion.  Students may take the classroom portion without a learner's permit, and then return for the on-the-road training after they have obtained their learner’s permit.
The classroom portion of the course runs for 2 weeks from Monday through Friday. No classes are offered on weekends.

I recently completed my driving lessons at District Heights Driving School, and I can confidently say that my experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I enrolled, the staff was welcoming and professional, making the entire process smooth and stress-free. The instructors are highly knowledgeable and patient, providing clear explanations and constructive feedback that helped me build my confidence behind the wheel. They tailored each lesson to fit my individual needs, ensuring that I felt comfortable with every aspect of driving. Their emphasis on safety and responsible driving practices truly stood out to me. The vehicles used for training were well-maintained and equipped with dual controls, which added an extra layer of security during my lessons. The scheduling flexibility allowed me to easily find times that worked, making it convenient to complete... Read More

Today is the second time that I’ve bought my daughter to get her road practice and the instructor did not show up. They are non-responsive. They will not answer their phone. And the number listed outside, when called, is a different company on the voicemail - something called Run and Shoot With Me. Unprofessional. Do not use them. They don’t even pick the students up for the road practice. You have to drop them off. Ridiculous.
