Hands-down, we’ve been Northwest Indiana’s leader in teaching teens how to drive safely for over 40 years. We provide a fun classroom environment to learn in, while also offering an online driver’s ed course for students with busy schedules. In this day and age, teens want to get their license quicker, which is where we come in. Did you know if you’re 15 years old, and start driving classes with Certified, you can get your permit early? Without driver’s education classes, you can’t get your permit until you’re 16 in the state of Indiana. In addition, you can get your license up to 6 months earlier by completing Driver’s Ed.

Certified Driving School has been in business since 1972, and we know getting your permit or license can be a challenge for people of any age. The prospect of learning to drive can be intimidating, particularly in high traffic areas like Chicago and Northwest Indiana. Our Adult Driving Classes teach adults to drive safely & help obtain their driver’s license regardless of age or skill level. Blended into our classes with teen students, adults are offered the same high-quality services we’ve been providing for over 4 decades. We don’t just specialize in teaching teens how to drive, we provide Driver’s Education Classes to hundreds of adult drivers each year.

While we feel there is no perfect substitute to taking the classroom session of driver’s education with an actual licensed educator, we do offer the option to take the classroom portion of the driving course online. For teens that have hectic schedules with academics, athletics, jobs, and life in general, the internet class is a good option.

Certified Driving partners with local schools to offer driver’s education classes through high schools during summer break. We currently provide two summer high school programs at Lowell and Griffith High Schools. We have partnered with Lowell High School for nearly 30 years and serving Griffith High School students for the past 10 years. In addition, Certified has also offered classes at Lake Central, Highland, Andrean, and Bishop Noll. Our summer schedule for Lowell and Griffith High School classes are available and posted to the Certified website each spring.
