A Message from the CEO

The Academy of Driving was founded in 2011 to address the need for qualified driving schools in the Sacramento and surrounding areas. We take great pride in producing safe, defensive drivers and in the Summer of 2013 my son Joshua joined the company.

A little bit about me; I served as a DMV examiner for 30 years. After I retired with the DMV, I partnered with one of the local driving schools for three years as a driving instructor. Coupled with a wide range of experience and current knowledge of driving laws, this enables us to provide our students with a safe and defensive driving experience on a one-on-one basis with the same instructor throughout his or her training. We pick-up and drop off all our students at the location of their choice - home or school.

All our sessions are planned and can be viewed in detail on the website under the session syllabus link. Parents receive a session report each time we drive, so there is never a mystery about your child's whereabouts. You are constantly informed of your loved one’s progress.

There is never an advance payment due, no contracts to sign, no hidden service fees or additional cancellation fees. With so many options out there and in these tough economic times, our goal is to provide you with the most flexibility and best value for your money.

We are one of the only driving schools that will set up your DMV appointment and take you to your actual DMV test .
