32 Hours Classroom 7 Hours Behind-The-Wheel 7 Hours Observation Driver education is required in Texas for everyone under the age of 18 who wishes to get a drivers's license. Our teen driver education program, curriculum and instructors, are state certified and licensed by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations (C-1286). Teen must be must to 14 years 9 months to start the teen program. When your student meets the state requirements of being 16 year old and has held their permit for 6 months you schedule the Road Skills Test at Katy Driving School. 7 Hours Behind-The-Wheel 7 Hours Observation DPS Road Test included in this Package If you have completed your 32 hours of teen education online or with other driving school and are having difficulty scheduling drives times we are here to help. You need a valid Texas Learners Permit before you can schedule any of your behind the wheel driving hours with us. We will contact you via e-mail with user name and password so you can start scheduling your drives. We must have your transfer DE-964 from previous school before you can schedule drive times.
