EQUIP Driver Education
Description

Stats show teens are at greatest risk on the road due to inexperience, risk-taking behind the wheel, speeding and distracted driving. Teens also have the lowest seat belt use rate of all age groups.

As a career driver, driving instructor and parent it is important to me that students become confident and safe drivers. Therefore, my driver education program includes defensive driving techniques taught both in the classroom and during behind the wheel instruction.

The worst driving school. If it was possible, I would give this a 0-star rating. I was a former student of this instructor, and instead of teaching in an empathetic yet firm way, she found every opportunity to be rude, classless, and absolutely mean. She yelled at me often, was crude and overly commanding, and her terrible attitude made it impossible to come away with learning anything. I felt bullied and diminished, and I came close to crying on all three of the occasions. She made me cry on the last BTW class. I told her on multiple occasions of me being on the spectrum, and she forgot, and then said I should have told her and blamed me, when in reality, I told her. She is cold, militaristic, and not good with children. Do not let your child or yourself anywhere around this woman. When I began to cry, she finally became gentle and spilled out her life story to me by saying that she was taught to be like this by her dad... Read More

She is cold, militaristic, and not good with children. Do not let your child or yourself anywhere around this woman. When I began to cry, she finally became gentle and spilled out her life story to me by saying that she was taught to be like this by her dad. I was appalled at her reaction and did not feel like I needed to hear this information— I just wanted to be treated with decency. I felt verbally abused and scared and shaking every time I had to go to the next class with her. This woman should not be a teacher — and if you are or have children with special needs that need extra attention, find a teacher who can balance firmness with empathy. In my experience, that is the best and only way I was able to learn and retain anything. I drive now, but I forever regret meeting this woman. Do not come near her or her driving school unless you enjoy being yelled at often and spoken to harshly. Read Less
