Basic RiderCourse Level 2 (BRC 2) – $150

​

The BRC 2 is for the rider who wants to refresh and practice street riding maneuvers. The 5 hour course, taken on your own motorcycle, fine-tunes riding skills, develops finesse and emphasizes strategies to reduce risks. The ability to handle various riding situations is developed and reinforced throughout the course. This is done by putting you through specially designed on-cycle maneuvers that improve your decision-making process.

This course is for riders who already have basic skills. It is similar to the BRC except speeds are higher and you should be on your own motorcycle. It’s an excellent refresher course for practicing and renewing riding skills. It consists of only riding exercises and range discussions about safe riding practices (risk management, personal behaviour, maintenance etc).

 It is a perfect way for you to reinforce basic skills on your own motorcycle.  This is a great way for you to self-assess how you are doing in a comfortable, low stress environment while riding your own bike.

The pre-requisites for this course include the ability to:

​

– Use the clutch and throttle to get the motorcycle in motion

– Stop the motorcycle properly in a designated area

– Execute gradual and tight turns

– Up and downshift smoothly

– Achieve a speed of at least 25 mph

​

You must bring your own motorcycle, properly registered, insured and valid state safety inspection.  We will inspect the motorcycle for road worthiness and safe operation.  

Riders must have the appropriate riding gear, which includes a DOT certified open (three-quarter) or full face helmet, eye protection, long sleeve shirt or jacket, full-fingered gloves, long pants (no sweat pants or soft material) and sturdy over-the-ankle footwear.

The Basic RiderCourse is the best place for new riders to start once you’ve made the decision to ride.

This is approximately a 15-hour course; 5 hours classroom hours and 10 hours riding a motorcycle spread out over 2 consecutive days.

Completion of the Basic RiderCourse satisfies the requirements of the Department of Defense regulations regarding motorcycle training for active duty military members and civilians operating a motorcycle on and off military installations.

The Basic RiderCourse is conducted at a pace that results in successful completion for most novice riders. Our RiderCoaches will help you learn to the best of your ability. If you have significant difficulty or become a risk to yourself or others, as determined by you or your RiderCoaches, you will not be permitted to continue to ride (other options may be available for developing your riding skills).

To successfully complete the course, you must:

Attend and participate in all sessions.

Achieve a minimum score on a knowledge test covering course materials.

Achieve a passing score on a riding-skill evaluation.

Successfully completing the Basic RiderCourse is not a guarantee that you will be safe on the road. Only you can choose the level of safety you wish to maintain. The course will provide you with the opportunities and experiences to acquire the basic knowledge and skill that enable you to continue to practice and develop your safe riding habits. Safe riding is also a matter of attitude, and only you can provide that.

You must provide your own shatter-resistant eye protection, sturdy over the ankle footwear (non-canvas), long sleeved shirt or jacket, long non-flare denim pants or equivalent protective material and full fingered (preferably leather) gloves.

Advanced riders course

No matter how long you have been riding, this course will challenge your skills! The Advanced RiderCourse is designed for experienced riders of all types of Two Wheel Motorcycles, including scooters. The ARC uses techniques developed by sportbike riders both on and off the track. The ARC is currently only available for Two Wheel Motorcycles.

You will learn:

High-speed maneuvering

Quick swerving / Avoidance techniques

Counter steering

Traction control

Emergency braking for curves and slippery surfaces

Learn how to stop dragging expensive parts in turns!

In order to take the course you must bring your own Two Wheel Motorcycle;

​

1. Your motorcycle must have  a valid state inspection sticker;

2. You must have proof that you are the registered owner of
your motorcycle and it must be current; and proof of insurance.

please note ; If you plan to bring a borrowed motorcycle that you are not the registered owner of,
the registered owner must be present or you must have a notarized letter from the owner giving
you permission to use it as well as the proof of registration.

​

The one day course is spent hands-on. Riders must use their own motorcycles. You must already have a valid motorcycle license and your bike must be licensed, insured (with proof of insurance) and street worthy.

​

The ARC is the public version of the Military SportBike RiderCourse (MSRC), and may be taken by riders using any type of two wheel motorcycle. It is a one-day course consisting of approximately 4 hours of classroom activities and 4 hours of riding activities.
