1st Rate Driving School LLC has over 30 years and over 2 million miles of driving experience and education. All of our instructors are licensed through the state of Wisconsin and receive yearly training. We are also members of the Wisconsin Professional Driving School Association.

The classroom portion will be held at a designated location.

1st Rate Driving School LLC offers classroom program for adults and all young adults that are or will be turning the age of 15 1/2 during the upcoming year.

My daughter had an awful experience with this company/driving instructor. The driving instructor, Ann, made multiple comments to my daughter that were incredibly demeaning while she was learning to drive, which heightened my daughter‘s anxiety that she already had as a new driver. Ann made hurtful and condescending comments to the other female students while out driving. My daughter specifically noted that Ann was very accommodating and overly complementary of any male student drivers. She is not a good teacher; she is punitive rather than encouraging and supportive. Ann was incredibly inflexible with any requests I made, such as meeting at my home on only one occasion, which was initially the plan for the entire summer, requiring I drive over 10 miles each way back-and-forth to school, while other students got dropped off and picked up at their homes, and then expected me to change my plans for my daughter’s lesson at a moment’s notice for her convenience... I can’t even begin to tell you what a disturbing experience this has been. This schooling is a waste, and it’s not worth the “convenience“ of them working with the Pulaski school district, because of the reasons listed above, and also because drive times during the school year are extremely limited. Just wanted to thank Dave and Ann for helping my son get his drivers license. They were so patient and understanding with him. My son has anxiety, he was nervous about taking lessons, but they put him at ease and made the lessons very stress free. He got to the point, that he actually looked forward to going out with them. I cannot highly recommend Dave and Ann ! Thank you for building up his confidence and making him feel at ease. By the way, he passed on his first attempt, he could not have done it without you both!!

I want to highly recommend First Rate Driving School to anyone who needs driving lessons. My son anxiety and was very nervous about taking lessons. Dave and Ann put him at ease immediately. They were extremely patient and understanding with him. He actually looked forward to every lesson. Thank you Dave and Ann for not only teaching him how to drive, but also for building up his self confidence!

Their website claims to accommodate by meeting at your home, This is a complete lie. They live less then 4 miles from us and I had to drive my daughter 10 miles each way to meet Ann for lessons. My daughter had her first lesson in October. Ann sent me a text at 3pm on lesson day saying I needed to come pick my daughter up an hour early (4pm) instead of 5pm bc she had a cancelation. My daughter's next lesson wasn't until late December. This company seems to be more of a "side" business for them to make some extra needed cash, as they do not have time for you after they get your money. Communication is extremely poor (unless you ask about leaving the program) she will immediately get back to you on that topic, but did not inform me of the options I had at the time. if you have other general questions or to schedule, good luck... Half the time they are "out of the office" and leave a future date 2 weeks out of when they will be returning calls/emails. In the beginning of March she offered me available lesson times of April 24 and May 17th! Are you kidding me, over 2 months out. And of course I would have to drop off and pick my daughter back up in OCONTO FALLS, we live in Abrams! These people Absolutely DO NOT work with families. You are expected to basically bend backwards to accept the few and far dates that they offer or never get your license. Read Less
