The permit can be obtained at DMV upon presenting paper work proving teen’s identity, the 30-hour Driver Education completion certificate and passing the DMV written test. The teen needs their drive permit validated to go driving with parents. With permit in hand, lessons can be scheduled. The cost for the six hours (3 2-hour lessons) depends on where we pick up and drop off a student. For instance, Eureka area price currently is $305 of which half is required up front on day of registration and the second half by the second scheduled drive.
