Nearly 15,000 students! That’s how many teenagers and adults have passed through Tom’s Driving School since Tom Ferraro Sr. established it in 1951. We are a family owned and operating business for over 60 years, and the oldest driving school to serve in lower Fairfield County. Greenwich, Cos Cob, Riverside, Byram, Stamford, Darien, New Cannan, Norwalk, & Bridgeport.

PARENT/STUDENT CLASSROOM As part of the driver’s education class, parents must now attend a 2 hour session with their son/daughter. This session is held once a month on a Monday from 5 30-7 30pm. Pre-registration is required. BEHIND THE WHEEL TRAINING Although students may start classroom without a permit at 16, they must have their learner’s permit in order to begin driving. Driving lessons may be scheduled by calling our office or on-line at . Cancellations, for any reason, must be made 48 hours in advance or there will be a charge for time reserved. TESTING FOR LICENSE When all DMV and Tom’s Driving School requirements have been fulfilled, Off-Site testing for a Connecticut Drivers License is available at Tom’s. The DMV administers the road exam, using Tom’s car. Off-Site testing is done twice a month and pre-registration is required.
