Description

Our mission is to give our students the knowledge and skills required to safely operate a commercial motor vehicle.
The Professional Driver Training Course at Carolina CDL Training Center is ideal for individuals with no prior knowledge or experience in the trucking industry. Our course will teach students how to drive a Class A combination vehicle and prepare them for their written Permit tests, pre-trip inspection, and driving test, which are all necessary components of the commercial driver's license examination. During the program, students will also learn about commercial motor vehicle laws and regulations, electronic and paper log books, sliding tandems, chaining up, and how to operate a reefer trailer to prepare them for future employment.
We are proud of our essential role in laying a solid foundation for the careers of individuals entering this demanding industry. Carolina CDL Training Center is committed to providing every student with the skills necessary to find employment following completion of the course quickly and keeping the roads safer today than ever before. Class Timings and Night Driving
Classes are held Monday through Thursday, 8.00 am - 6.30 pm.

* Class includes 3 hours of night-time driving, so please allow at least 1 day for an afternoon class

Who is subject to entry-level driver training (ELDT) requirements?
The ELDT regulations establish minimum training requirements for entry-level commercial motor vehicle (CMV) operators in interstate and intrastate commerce who are applying for:
- A Class A or Class B commercial driver’s license (CDL) for the first time;
- An upgrade of their CDL (e.g., a Class B CDL holder seeking a Class A CDL); or
- A hazardous materials (H), passenger (P), or school bus (S) endorsement for the first time.
The requirements do not apply to individuals holding a valid CDL or an H, P, or S endorsement issued prior to February 7, 2022. Individuals who obtained a commercial learner’s permit (CLP) before February 7, 2022 are not subject to ELDT requirements as long as they obtain a CDL before the expiration date of the CLP or renewed CLP.
